Dimension Data Acquires UAE-Based Data Processing Systems
Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Dimension Data, a global ICT solutions and services company, today announced it has acquired a 51% stake in Data Processing Systems (DPS), a United Arab Emirates (UAE) based IT systems integrator for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition also marks the launch of Dimension Data United Arab Emirates, with offices located in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Dimension Data's growth strategy in the Middle East & Africa region is to partner with local companies. This approach enables the creation of strong locally based companies that have the required in-depth knowledge and experience of local markets and are able to leverage the global best practice and expertise residing in Dimension Data to deliver a unique offering to clients.
DPS has been operating in the UAE market for 25 years, and has a solid client base including Etisalat, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emaar, Limitless, Gulf News, Al Habtoor Group and AMLAK Financing The company is a Cisco Silver Certified partner, and also has strategic technology partnerships with Foundry Networks and Nexans.
