Highly Rated IVS Products Helped Place Schlumberger Verification Systems among the 10 BEST Process Diagnostic Equipment Suppliers in the 2001 VLSI Research Customer Satisfaction Report
CONCORD, Massachusetts - Schlumberger Verification Systems is pleased to release today that its wafer inspection equipment ranked first in Cost of Ownership (COO) among Process Diagnostic Equipment Suppliers in the 2001 VLSI Research Inc Customer Satisfaction Report. The results are based on worldwide customer responses rating Schlumberger wafer inspection equipment tops in COO among suppliers of Process Diagnostic Equipment.

Verification Systems earned a coveted 10 BEST rating among Process Diagnostic Equipment providers in the VLSI Research annual survey of Customer Satisfaction in both 2000 and 2001. In 2001, customer ratings pushed the Schlumberger group to the overall number three ranking from a number four ranking for 2000. In addition to the first place finish in wafer inspection equipment for COO in 2001, Verification Systems also received particularly high ratings for quality of results and build quality, indicators of outstanding system performance and reliability.

VLSI Research based its survey results for 2001 on responses from over 49,000 questionnaires distributed to chip-making equipment users worldwide. Equipment users were asked to rate their suppliers on a ten-point scale among thirteen categories that exemplify a suppliers relationship with its customers. These thirteen categories include seven measures of equipment performance and six of customer service. The performance measures are cost of ownership, uptime, software, build quality, usable throughput, quality of results and product performance. The six customer service categories are process support, field engineering support, spares support, support after sales, technical leadership and overall commitment.
