Bahrain Airport Company and Munich Airport have signed a contract today on the premises of the Bahrain Airport Company's showing at the Bahrain International Airshow. Representatives of both esteemed organizations were present, including:

·        Dr. Osama Alali - CEO of Bahrain Airport Company

·        Dr. Michael Kerkloh - CEO of Munich Airport

·        Mr. Michael Hoehenberger - Head of Operational Planning of Munich Airport

·        Mr. Reinhard Zeiler - Head of Airport Consulting of Munich Airport

to sign the document which solidifies the scope of work entailed. Essentially, this will allow Bahrain International Airport to tap on the expertise of Munich Airport, to improve Bahrain International Airport's ground and air services.

The contract aims to improve aviation services and facilities that will add value to airlines, aircraft operators, government agencies, general public and associated businesses associated with Bahrain International Airport. Consultancy in aviation services ground services will further ensure successful delivery of quality customer service to airlines and aircraft operators.

Dr. Michael Kerkloh, CEO of Munich Airport, commented, "we are pleased that the Bahrain Airport Company has selected us as their partner to develop the Bahrain International Airport. Which is not only a business asset on its own but is of highest national relevance -  to achieve the Bahraini Economic Vision 2030. We look forward to close cooperation in the field of airport management and business development."

Dr. Osama Al Ali, CEO of Bahrain Airport Company added, "Munich Airport will work closely with Bahrain Airport Company to set a high standard for all services and major facilities for exceptional improvement. The Munich Airport team will work hand to hand with the Bahrain International Airport staff to improve the ground and air services provided to the airport stakeholders to ensure that Bahrain International Airport facilities and Aviation Services are supplied and allocated in a mutually beneficial and equitable manner and with the airport's best interests in mind."

They added, "in addition, effective training will be provided to all airport staff at the aviation academy in Munich to develop the right environment which will enable employees to perform all specialist training courses to follow the new standards and procedures."

Scope of partnership defined - includes but not limited to

- airport operations consultancy

- the development of concepts

- procedure and process re-engineering

- hub development

- on the ground support for new airport facilities

- tailor-made training and development solutions for employees locally or abroad

- on-the-job training for staff at Munich airport.
