- Climbing closer to '555' strategy target
- Robust demands in new markets attribute to Aujan's expansion in the first 3 months of 2008
Dubai, UAE, 20th April 2008 - Aujan Industries Co., the largest privately owned beverage and Confectionery Company in the GCC, has announced its regional business results for the first quarter of 2008. Aujan has seen their presence in its developed markets of the GCC grow by 24% in the past 3 months. In addition to this, Aujan have achieved sustainable growth of 41% revenue and 24% volume versus 2007. These results bring Aujan closer to achieving their '555' strategy - USD 500m in revenue with five brands in five years - at the end of this year.
Kerry Anastassiadis, President, Aujan Industries Co, said "Our Q1 business results have once again shown how our strong investment in consumer research and marketing accredit our current success. Our geographical footprint is continuously expanding and the requirement for our brands in our new markets has grown by 66% in the last 3 months. In these markets, we continue to witness vigorous demand for our brands especially in North Africa, Iraq, Pakistan and India, further solidifying our presence in the Middle East and Asia."
Aujan Industries Co. have constantly enhanced their world class manufacturing, sales, distribution and logistics network; to compliment this, Aujan have also restructured their business into five business units that cover and focus on their geographic expansion plans.
The five business units cover Saudi Arabia together with Yemen, the remaining GCC countries, Levant (Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Palestine), Iran and finally the International Business Unit (IBU) covers all other countries.
