The 14th GCC Smart Government and City Customer Care Conference kicks off today and is being held at the Burj Al Arab hotel. After 13 successful years of providing best examples of customer care and shared services in the region and bringing it on to a global platform, Datamatix is all set to address new benchmarks in customer care in the light of smart government and cities.

The day began with the presentation of Mr. Robert Keay, Managing Director of Ethos Consultancy on 'Re-engineering and Transforming the Current Government Services to Smart Government Services' wherein he particularized the various strategies in driving value and innovation in the next generation customer service and in building smart customer centric models. He also talked about the methodologies and techniques in building customer profiles and deliver differentiated customer experience.

It was followed by a presentation on 'Government Big Data Role in Building Smart Government Services' by Dr. Usman Zafar, CEO of DUC Consulting International and Board Advisory cloudBuy UK. He talked about the big data in government organizations that is based upon various demographics and financial data that forms a huge accumulation which needs to be studied in detail that can then be transferred into knowledge. He also discussed the smart government infrastructure and said that governments are more social in this age that establishes a greater connection with the citizens and maintains transparency.

The presentation was followed by a session on 'Branding via Smart Customer Care and Achieving the 2020 Strategies' by Fatima Hayat, COO DUC Consulting & Board Advisor Nudge Digital. She discussed how efficient and smart customer care can fetch far reaching publicity to your brand and elaborated on the 2020 strategies and roadmap that needs to be achieved in order to retain global market position.

Coffee break and networking session was followed by a presentation by Natalie Brown, Managing Director of Select Training and Management Consultancy. She presented a best practices case study on "Branding Via Customer Care and Achieving Results".

A panel discussion followed that was chaired by Sohail Ahmad Kidwai, Deputy General Manager of Brother International (Gulf) FZE; Carlo Pignataro, Founder& Master Trainer of SELLING SKILLS EMPOWERMENT; and Hamza Nasir, Director of Strategic Relations of LiveAdmins JLT.
