UAE –  The UAE's trading in food commodities and products reached AED 31.7 billion during the first quarter (Q1) of 2020, according to the latest statistics by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA).

The UAE's imports of food commodities and products totalled AED 17.98 billion during the first three months of 2020.

Meanwhile, the country's trade of pharmaceutical products amounted to AED 4.5 billion in the January-March period of 2020, including AED 950 million exports and re-exports and AED 3.55 billion worth of imports.

It is noteworthy to mention that in 2019, the UAE's non-oil foreign trade grew by 7% year-on-year (YoY) to AED 396 billion, compared to AED 370.5 billion in the same period of 2018.
