TUNIS - Tunisia public debt in the eight months to August reached 101 billion dinars ($36 billion), an increase of 10% compared to the same period last year, the finance ministry said on Friday.

Its external debt accounted for about 60 billion dinars of that figure.

Tunisia faces the risk of a debt restructuring after struggling to bring its debt and fiscal deficit onto a sustainable trajectory.
