Israel has announced the highlights of its Expo 2020 Dubai pavilion, one month before the mega event will open.
The Israeli pavilion will be “without walls for maximum openness” and feature performances by some of the country’s most prominent musicians, including the first large-scale UAE concert by one of its best-known musical exports, “Infected Mushroom”.
Among the highlights, Israel’s national day celebrations on January 9, 2022, will include visits by Israel’s high state officials. There will also be a special performance by the Jerusalem East and West Orchestra conducted by Tom Cohen.

“Music, as an international language, overcomes language barriers and brings hearts and senses together,” said Josh Bendit, Israel’s pavilion director.
Other performers will include Yemen Blues, Anna RF, Quarter To Africa, the Gil-Ron Shema Ensemble, the Paran Ensemble and the Firkaat-El Nur Orchestra.
The pavilion will also host street theatre performances, culinary events and Israeli art exhibitions.
The normalisation of ties between Israel and the UAE was announced just over one year ago.
