LONDON - More than 556.52 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 6,780,499 have died, according to a Reuters tally.
The United States is still at the top of the list, with the total confirmed cases of 89,166,150 and 1,023,802 deaths, followed by India with 43,710,027 infections and 525,604 deaths.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
