BEIRUT: The U.S.delivered infrastructure to build a maintenance tent to the LebaneseArmy, a statement from the U.S. Embassy in Beirut said Tuesday.
U.S.Ambassador Maura Connelly was joined by senior Lebanese Army and U.S.military officers at the Hamat Airfield in north Lebanon to observe thedelivery. The delivery contained infrastructure for the construction of amaintenance tent that helicopter mechanics can use to conductmaintenance on helicopter engines. According to the U.S. Embassystatement, the maintenance tent is part of a broader project to providehangars for the armys helicopter fleet at Hamat. The U.S. military hasalso helped the Lebanese Army with improving the training facilities atHamat, providing over $1.5 million for the construction of a facilityto conduct military live fire training, added the statement.
