JEDDAH -- The Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC) has launched health news and information services in coordination with Mayo Clinic, the pioneer university hospital in the United States.
The new value-added service called Mayo Clinic application has been launched in collaboration with AxeIn and will provide daily health advices and will keep customers informed with the latest medical news, studies and scientific breakthroughs.
The application will inform customers about symptoms of diseases, medications and detailed instructions, side effects and antidotes and other medical tidbits.
The application also features a virtual encyclopedia where one can get information on care, how to treat children and adolescents in its family section which also covers issues ranging from pregnancy to giving birth and beyond.
Moreover, the application has interactive services to help a customer assess his health and that of his children, daily required calories and treatment of headaches, among others.
In the interactive services, a customer may share with others health-related experiences via chat or post and read comments.
