Spain and Morocco will soon open two new facilities in Beni Mellal and Nador for young, repatriated illegal immigrants, Ansa reported on Tuesday (October 6th). The centres will host minors for whom no family of origin has been established.
Speaking in Madrid after a meeting of the Spain-Morocco Permanent Group of Immigration Affairs, Spanish Immigration Secretary Consuelo Rumi said the new facilities would be operational within the next two months. Spain has already opened centres for immigrant minors in Rabat and Tangier, with another under construction in Marrakesh.
