MUSCAT -- Renaissance Services' Marine and Engineering Group subsidiary, Adyard Abu Dhabi LLC, completed the construction of an LNG Loading module for Qatargas. A highlight of the project was the safe completion of 500,000 man hours without a lost time injury (LTI). The Berth 6 LNG module was a $17 million construction contract awarded to Adyard by Fluor in January of last year.
The module will be transported from Abu Dhabi and installed at the Ras Laffan Qatar site in the first and second weeks of April. Fazel A Fazelbhoy, CEO of the Marine and Energy Group said, "This project success once again underscores our ability of successfully and safely delivering large-scale, complex engineering projects." The project included detail engineering, fabrication and construction of module structures including installation of LNG tank, pumps and pipelines, as well as electrical and instrumentation work, cold insulation of pipelines and Epoxy fire proofing of the module.
