DAMASCUS - People's Assembly on Tuesday approved a draft resolution on solving the financial debts among the public sector institutions till the end of 2011.

The law adds approbations with 864.5 billion SYP to the budget approbations of 2011 to settle the situation of some public establishments.

Minister of Finance Mohammad al-Jilelati said the Law settles the financial situations among some public institutions which had losses and deficiency due to the social subsidies offer by the Government for the citizens, particularly the oil companies as they sell petroleum materials as fuel, gas with a price less than the cost price.

The People's Assembly session was held under chairmanship of Speaker Mahmoud al-Abrash.
