MUSCAT -- Panasonic launched its expanded range of VIERA Plasma, LED and LCD TVs for 2011. The new models again demonstrate the company's commitment to providing consumers with the highest quality entertainment options with respect to Plasma, LED and LCDs. In addition, the new models combine eco sensibility with superior product performance and enhanced networking functionality in a slim profile and extremely attractive design.
"In 2011, Panasonic will be expanding its range of 3D and LED televisions to include 13 different 3D and 5 LED models for discerning Omani consumers to select from. In addition to these new models we will include Panasonic's VT30 and ST30 Neo Plasma 3D TVs featuring unique technologies like Infinite Blackpro and Intelligent Viera Connect", said Abby Thomas, Senior Manager, Panasonic Marketing Middle East.
"Panasonic, the industry and technology leader in high-definition televisions, is targeting a market share of 35 per cent for large screen 3D TV by 2012, and 45 per cent market share for over 37 inch televisions in Oman", said George Alexander, General Manager, Retail Engineering and Distribution, Omasco.
This year, the new intelligent VIERA line-up, called VIERA Black, will feature infinite black pro and interactive Internet connection which call VIERA connect. These new models will be equipped with features like 600Hz sub-field drive, Infinite Black Pro (over 5,000,000:1 native contrast).
"VIERA Connect is a new and enhanced cloud-based Internet service from Panasonic. The new VIERA Connect allows users to enjoy sports, interactive games, and a variety of other contents in addition to the standard movies and television programmes on Panasonic VIERA large-screen TVs through the simple operation of a remote control", said Thomas.
Panasonic's product line includes Neo Plasma models which feature 600Hz sub-field drive for excellent motion, excellent contrast ratios with Infinite Black Pro (VT30, UT30, ST30). They are especially suited for 3D thanks to 600Hz, fast response time (0.001ms) and newly developed fast switching phosphor that reduces cross-talk. Furthermore, active shutter technology delivers the best possible picture quality, thanks to Full HD resolution and clear separation of the two images (one for each eye).
The top-of-the-line VIERA VT30 series consists of three models, the 65-inch TH-P65VT30, the 50-inch TH-P50VT30, and the 42-inch TH-P42VT30. All three VT30 models come in the new High Line Design and feature a one sheet glass design that gives the TVs a beautiful sleek new design. In addition to offering 3D viewing, the VT30 series comes with the Internet service VIERA Connect; VIERA Image Viewer™ for viewing 2D and 3D digital still images and both 2D and 3D HD video recorded on an SD memory card.
Consumers can further enjoy full high-definition entertainment by combining the Viera television along with Panasonic's flagship home-theatre systems SC-BT775, full high-definition camcorder SDT750 and other AV systems including sound bar SB-HWA520 and SU-HTB520.
