MUSCAT -- Muscat Private Hospital (MPH) is far ahead of its competitors in the Sultanate. This has been shown in a recent survey done by Business Today. The report, which is a comparative study on hospitals in Oman, suggests that MPH is top in the list by a very significant margin of 300 ahead of its closest contender.

According to Hospital Administrator Murat Kucukkaya, the recognition is largely due to the Hospitals constant drive for excellence. "The strength of our medical team coupled with the latest technology in our equipment, ensures we are able to provide patients with excellent services. This remains key to continuing MPH's long term objective of providing superior quality care to residents of Oman. As the population grows so does the demand for world-class treatment from highly trained medical professionals. We are particularly delighted that in this survey MPH came out on top in every population demographic."

According to Murat the breadth and depth of the services MPH offers is certainly a contributing factor in this area. "Our slogan "family first" encompasses MPH's philosophy of delivering the best possible care tailored to the needs of the entire family, from pregnancy and paediatrics to surgery and diagnostics."

In the medical world it is important to keep abreast of new developments and have a plan in place to constantly update both our knowledge and our equipment. In 2011, the 72-bed premier private hospital will be entering a new era by expanding its in-patient and outpatient facilities to offer an even higher level of care to the population of the Sultanate.

By fulfilling its vision of providing the region's leading clinical programmes, MPH aims to retain its position as the hospital of choice for private patients in Oman.

Founded in 2000, Muscat Private Hospital has continued to invest in state of the art medical technology, keeping abreast of developments in the medical field, and constantly raising the standards for the medical industry in Oman.

"Technological developments in the medical industry are updated almost daily and we have to continuously invest in state of the art equipment to stay ahead of the game and remain a world class facility, "explains Dr David W Saxton, Medical Director. "Of course, technology would be nothing without the expertise of our medical team. Without their excellent skills and dedication to the profession and their patients, the hospital would cease to function. This team of hardworking individuals have cared for, treated and improved the lives of so many patients of MPH. They form the backbone of our hospital."

The hospital is also working towards its Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation -- an international symbol of quality and high performance standards in hospitals in the US.

"Achieving JCI accreditation will be affirmation of our vision to guarantee the safest, highest quality, best value health care to our patients, across all departments," said Murat.
