Gaza, May 07th, 2011 (WAM)--The Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan School in Bait Lahia district is one of the best schools in Gaza Strip, according to the school administration and students.
The move follows the efforts made by the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Charity, to construct new classes, provide the stationery and other school requirements. As result, the school scored one of the top positions among 220 schools supervised over by United Nations Relief Work Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). Zeyad Abu Huja, Assistant Director of the School, said the maintenance of the school by the Khalifa foundation was the source of pride from the school administration and students, indicating those efforts have upgraded the standard of the school as well. He said that the administration, parents and students thanked President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for his kind gesture. The students expressed their pleasure about the provision of school requirements by the UAE, adding that they were now so proud about their school. Abu Huja added that the school, which includes about 3, 000 students, was on the verge of collapse as it suffered from the shortage in premises and school services, but has now become after the intervention of the Sheikh Khalifa foundation a model school."Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2011.
