AMMAN — The government is keen to introduce the fifth generation of mobile technologies, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmed Hanandeh said on Saturday.

In press remarks, the minister said that the Cabinet formed a committee to discuss the introduction of the 5G network with telecom companies, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

According to Hanandeh, studies have shown that Internet expansion could boost GDP, create job opportunities and support startups.
