EY, a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services, has announced the admission of 22 new partners to its leadership team across the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region, as well as the promotion of 16 executives to Associate Partners.
These partners will continue to work in their service lines and industry sectors.
The newly appointed Mena partners and executives are based in their Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, and the UAE offices, joining the consulting, assurance, strategy, transactions and tax practices. They began their new roles on October 1.
Mena Chairman and CEO Abdulaziz Al Sowailim said: "These promotions at EY are a significant career milestone. Our new partners have demonstrated their commitment to EY values in the work that they do every day."
"I am incredibly proud to have them as part of our leadership team and fulfilling our purpose of building a better working world," he noted.
Al Sowailim said the Covid-19 pandemic has affected people, communities, and businesses everywhere, challenging the way we live and work.
"One of the important decisions we have taken as an organization this year is to continue to invest in the sustainability of our business. A critical component in driving long-term value for our people and clients is our commitment to invest in our future and a strong line of succession," he noted.
EY announces that 600 people have been promoted to partner across the globe. It is a record year for gender diversity at the organization, with 35% of promotees being women.
Additionally, 32% of newly promoted leadership executives are from emerging markets, up from 31% last year, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
