MANAMA: Export Bahrain has enabled Bahrain-based precious metals distributor Arihant Group to seal multi-million dollar deals with five new international customers.

The announcement was made at the Bahrain pavilion at the ongoing Expo 2020 Dubai, where the national export development platform witnessed the signing of business agreements by Arihant and Wesal Jewellers, subsidiaries of the Arihant Group.

The Bahrain-based jewellery and precious metals and ornaments business will now be able to seamlessly export to bigger international markets, having signed partnerships with five leading merchants in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong.

Export Bahrain said this was part of its mandate to support Bahrain-based businesses in expanding their operations to broader horizons and exploring new potential markets globally.

The organisation continues to encourage businesses in Bahrain to tap into new international markets by offering targeted support in key areas, such as export credit insurance, logistics support, access to global data and actionable market intelligence, export facilitations along with other initiatives to enable exporters to take on more challenging, high-growth export markets.

Commenting, Export Bahrain acting chief executive Safa Abdulkhaliq said: “We are glad to announce the signing of these agreements and look forward to accomplish additional similar partnerships between businesses in Bahrain and renowned international entities during our participation in Expo 2020 Dubai. Export Bahrain continues to play a key role in encouraging Bahrain-based establishments to export their products and services to new regional and international markets. Our main focus is to support exporters in Bahrain to identify and capture global market opportunities, and we constantly strive to capitalise on regional and global partnerships and key events to achieve more progress in this area.”

Headquartered in Bahrain since 1991, Arihant Group has expanded its key businesses with the introduction of two other subsidiaries in Bahrain while also stretching its presence continentally by reaching UAE, Singapore and India.

Maryam Hasan, head of public relations and communications at Arihant Group, said: “This is certainly a key milestone for us, as these deals would certainly have a positive impact on our business and boost our operations towards further limits. More similar deals will be signed and announced in the coming period, reflecting our successful partnership with Export Bahrain, whose efforts towards unlocking new markets for us are well appreciated. Arihant Group has been in the regional market for 30 years, providing the finest jewellery and precious metals to its clients. Our strategic future plans include exploring untapped markets beyond the region, and these agreements facilitated by Export Bahrain fulfils this objective for us. We are aspiring to achieve more success through the various export services offered by Export Bahrain, and we are thrilled to be present in wider markets.”
