BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--Aluminium Bahrain, or Alba, has signed a three-year agreement to supply large quantities of extrusion billets to Sapa Profiles--the giant European producer of extruded aluminum profiles, Manama-based Al Wasat reports Thursday.
Alba was chosen as one of Sapa's major suppliers selected under its strategic global sourcing program, Alba's chief executive officer Laurent Schmitt said, according to the paper.
Alba, which is mainly owned by the Bahraini government, has one of the largest extrusion billet facilities in the world with an annual capacity of over 350,000 metric tons.
