PARIS, 21st June, 2017 (WAM) -- His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Wednesday met French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian to discuss ways of enhancing co-operation between the UAE and France to serve their shared strategic interests.

They explored aspects of existing political, economic, security, scientific and cultural co-operation between the UAE and France, as well as their keen interest in advancing these relations to new venues of joint action and co-operation.

The meeting also touched on the latest developments in the region, as well as regional and international issues of shared concern. This includes fighting terrorist organisations and supporting regional and international efforts aimed at establishing the pillars of security and stability in the region.

Emirati officials who attended the meeting include H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority; Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, and Maadhad Hareb Mughair Al Khaiili, UAE Ambassador to France.
