Saudi Aviation Flight Academy (SAFA) has successfully implemented the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operators IS-BAO and has been awarded with the certificate issued by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC).  SAFA is the first non-USA based and the forth flight training organization to achieve IS-BAO certification in the world.

IBAC is an international, non-governmental association, which represents, promotes and protects the interests of business and flight training aviation in international policy and regulatory forums.

SAFA's Safety Manager, Barry McCaig stated, "this achievement was the result of more than one year's continuous effort to achieve this award which proved our safety management system, aircraft engineering, and flight training operations met the highest standards set by international organizations."  Mr. McCaig continued, "achieving this accreditation proved our systems meet the recommended codes of best practices designed to help flight training organizations worldwide to achieve high levels of safety and professionalism."

IS-BAO is an industry standard built for operators, by providing a set of standards based on the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPS). IS-BAO is recognized by Aviation Regulators as meeting the ICAO standard.

Through this external audit process, SAFA proved its policies, procedures and flight operations met the IS-BAO standard.

Every year IS-BAO increases its' standards in line with the SARPS produced by ICAO. SAFA will continue to adopt these standards in our quest to comply with ICAO and the standards set by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's, General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).

SAFA's Managing Director Captain William Roe stated, "This is an important achievement for SAFA and validates SAFA's commitment to safety and professionalism.  It is our objective to ensure the safest operating environment possible for our students and employees while adhering to a strong safety culture that will inculcate our graduates with the attitudes, discipline, and accountability expected by any world-class airline or corporate operator."
