Abu Dhabi The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) plans to launch eight new business banking centres this year to further serve small- and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in the UAE.
Since the beginning of 2011 NBAD Business Banking has opened 10 business banking centres all over the UAE.
Two years ago when the world struggled with the financial crisis, the National Bank of Abu Dhabi did not hesitate to invest in serving SMEs.
“NBAD realised the potential for growth in SMEs, which for long had been treated as part of consumer banking.
“However, we positioned NBAD in a stronger financial standing during the crisis to invest in serving SMEs,” says Haitham Al Refaie, the head of the bank’s Business Banking Group.
