HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai International Marine Club, visited Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)’s platform on the second day of GITEX Technology Week 2017. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, welcome His Highness and briefed him on DEWA’s latest services, initiatives, and smart solutions, which contribute to making Dubai the best city in the provision of smart, innovative, and world-class services that meet the needs of all people and achieve their happiness.

Al Tayer explained the Block Chain for the Green Charger initiative, to His Highness. The initiative provides customers and service providers with services, such as facilitating the registration of electric vehicles, providing safer quality transactions, and locating electric charging stations for service providers, with precise information on availability.

Al Tayer also briefed His Highness on the Future Centre for Customer Happiness, which relies on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robots, and includes smart payment platforms. HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was also briefed on DEWA’s website and DEWA’s updated smart application, Rammas, the helmet and smart glasses (DAQRI), which is based on enhanced reality technology to help engineers working in energy-production stations to achieve their tasks, as well as 3D-Printing for the development of spare parts, and the improvement of the performance of maintenance and operations. Moreover, His Highness was briefed on the Big Data initiative, the smart monitoring of electrical appliances and energy consumption at home, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and DEWA’s new headquarters, Al-Sheraa’, which will be the tallest, largest, and smartest public net-Zero-Energy Building (ZEB) in the world.

Our efforts are in line with modern and life-changing services that exceed expectations with the Smart Dubai initiative, which seeks to harness technology and provide people with the ability to communicate with DEWA, easily and directly,” said Al Tayer.
