Al Maya has been importing a large number of goods from UK

Dubai: H.E Mr. Philip Parham, HM Ambassador, British Embassy of United Arab Emirates, visited the Al Maya Group's Supermarket at Murooj Complex in Dubai on Thursday for the first time and appreciated the Group's role in promoting UK's food products in the UAE.

Al Maya Group Director, Mr. Kamal Vachani, informed the Ambassador about the variety of products available from the UK at the Al Maya Supermarkets.

Al Maya Group is keen to expand its products portfolio from the UK, Mr. Kamal Vachani told the Ambassador. They also discussed ways to further enhance food and vegetables trade.

Al Maya Group imports a large number of FMCG comprising Canned  Goods, Cereals, Organic Range, Dairy Products, Juices, Baby foods, Crisps & Cheese From the UK, Mr. Kamal Vachani informed the Ambassador.

Al Maya Group, the UAE-based business conglomerate, has more than 40 supermarkets in the GCC countries in addition to other businesses.

Mr. Kamal Vachani thanks his Excellency for visiting Al Maya Supermarket, and assured his full support  from Al Maya Group for importing more and more FMCG goods from UK.

Last year, more than £12 billion of goods and services were exchanged between the two countries, according to the UAE-UK Business Council. The UAE is the UK's largest export market in the Arabian Gulf.
