Dubai, UAE - Leading business setup specialists, Virtuzone has partnered with International House for Real Estate Project Management (IHRPM) in support of its ‘Unleash Your Inner Entrepreneur’ campaign which will further promote entrepreneurship and small business development in the region.

Small businesses face significant challenges the world over, and according to statistics from the Small Business Association based in the US, only 48.6% of businesses survive the first five years.

There is a wave of support for ‘Unleash Your Inner Entrepreneur’, a campaign set up by leading property company, IHRMP, which will be giving away more than AED 1 Million in prizes to help two lucky winners achieve their business dreams. Winners will secure a year’s free rent at either 93-94 Avenues (open to any UAE Resident) or Nad Al Hamar Avenues (open to any GCC National). Along with the free annual rent, the competition winners will receive free advice from Virtuzone to help them survive and thrive.

Virtuzone Chairman, Neil Petch: “It’s an absorbing process launching a successful startup: getting the marketing, networking, connections, clientele, internal processes, structures and price-points right. We realise the barriers that startups face, which is why we’re dedicated to providing an ecosystem of support. This starts from the first consultation and continues even after securing a trade licence.  We’re committed to supporting entrepreneurship in this region, which is why we’re delighted to partner with this great initiative.”

“We want to give the next generation of entrepreneurs a chance to step up to success, and to shine. With 2017 announced as the Year of Giving, inspired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, (UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai), it is the perfect opportunity to run the ‘Unleash Your Inner Entrepreneur’ campaign. It is our way to give something back to the UAE and ignite the spark of business in the heart of Dubai,” Rasha AlMutawa, Vice President of IHRPM.

‘Unleash Your Inner Entrepreneur’ will also provide the competition winners with hundreds of thousands of Dirhams worth of consultancy services. One of the consultants is Murtaza Manji, a highly successful businessman with more than a dozen companies who advises small business owners for coaching firm, Action Coach.

Manji says, “Being in business should give you more time, more money, more life. If it isn’t, you’re doing it wrong. Startups don’t have the best odds of success, so to maximise your chances of winning in the long term you need to be prepared for the challenges ahead.”

Murtaza gives the following tips to aspiring business people:

Have a vision – you need to know what your business will look like when it is successful. Then you can break that down in to the incremental steps you need to take to get there.

Build strong management and reporting – Even the best concepts can fail if you can’t spot mistakes. Most mistakes can be fixed, but fail to spot them and they will swallow the company. You need reporting tools in place from day one.

Create a team you can rely on – Yes, you’re a superstar and you can do anything better than anyone. But, you don’t have time to do it all. So build good people around you to help your business succeed.

Good advice is worth its weight in gold – Don’t look for the cheapest service provider. Look for the best and be willing to spend the right money to get the right advice.

Continually seek negative feedback – Ask for feedback, especially when things don’t work out. How else will you know what you could have done better?

Lead by example – You must be willing to lead your business to glory. Stick your neck out, take risks, make tough calls. Inspire your team to show their potential and keep your chin up.
