DUBAI, 23rd March, 2017 (WAM) -- The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted representatives from the Ras al-Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Saudi Arabias Madinah Chamber of Commerce and Industry at its head office in Dubai.

During the meeting with RAK Chamber, Dubai Chamber officials shared expertise and best practices in the areas of membership, Certificates of Origin and attestation, as well as the various smart services provided to its members and businesses in the emirate.

Atiq Juma Nasib, Senior Vice-President of Commercial Services Sector at the Dubai Chamber, highlighted the prominent role played by the chambers Membership and Documentation Department, adding that Dubai Chamber issued 923,000 Certificates of Origin and 5,500 ATA Carnets in 2016.

During a separate meeting with Madinah Chamber representatives, Dubai Chambers efficient customer services and systems were highlighted, in addition to its eco-friendly building and solutions.

Nasib stated that the UAE enjoys strong trade and cultural ties with Saudi Arabia. He noted that the kingdom was the top market for Dubai Chamber members exports and re-exports in 2016, which amounted to AED87.7 billion in 2016.

He added that the visit by Madinah Chamber representatives supports Dubai Chambers efforts to encourage sharing of knowledge on services and key initiatives while enhancing bilateral ties.
