Recognition for Eng. Al Hashemi Efforts in the Telecom Sector

Manama, Bahrain: Batelco Bahrain CEO Eng. Muna Al Hashemi has been named Best Arabic CEO in the Telecommunication Sector at the first Arab Best Awards which took place in Marrakech, Morocco on November 27. Eng. Al Hashemi was selected in recognition of her pioneering efforts in leading Batelco Bahrain as the first female to hold the key role.

The winners at the Arab Best Awards were selected by a committee of Arab and international experts and specialists from a number of economic and financial institutions. Awards were presented in three categories; Leadership, Business and Society Stars, with the Award for Best Arabic CEO under the umbrella of the Leadership Awards.

Batelco Marketing and Communication Senior Manager Abdulla Abuidrees attended the event and accepted the award on behalf of Eng. Al Hashemi.

Eng. Al Hashemi extended her great appreciation to the Arab Best organisers for the prestigious award of Best Arabic CEO.

 “I am really delighted and honoured to be selected for this award,” she said following the announcement.

“Winning such awards is not a lone achievement; success depends on everyone in an organisation pulling together and working towards meeting the Company goals. I share this award with all Batelco employees as it would not have been possible without them,” she added.
