Lebanon's Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri submitted his government's resignation on Tuesday.

Protestors have been sweeping the country for the second week, accusing the Lebanese national unity government of corruption and mismanagement of state finances.

Lebanon’s banks have been closed since the start of the demonstrations.
