BBC says 'cooperating' with tax authorities at its India offices

The BBC said it was "fully cooperating" with Indian tax authorities raiding its New Delhi and Mumbai offices on Tuesday, weeks after it aired a documentary critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"The Income Tax Authorities are currently at the BBC offices in New Delhi and Mumbai and we are fully cooperating," the UK broadcaster said, adding it hoped "to have this situation resolved as soon as possible".
