Egypts Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inspected, on Thursday, several projects currently in progress at the New Alamein City.
Madboulys visit took place in the presence of Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar and other top officials.
During the inspection, the Prime Minister inspected a number of ongoing projects in the new city, including five new beach towers, and a road leading up to them. He went on to undertake an inspection of work currently underway on 15 tower blocks of 42-floors each, and a nearby 700 acre commercial residential compound.
The officials also reviewed the work on a recreational area directly overlooking the sea, which includes a 3,000-car capacity garage, alongside a small hotel and a number of shops.
The Prime Ministers visit also inspected the operation of the International Coastal Road, which will be used as an alternative to the old coastal road. El Gazzar said that 50km of the road have been completed so far, of which 10 km lies south of Marina and over 38 km south of El Alamein.
Five major construction companies are implementing the residential compound project, which aims to construct 10,000 residential units including chalets, residential buildings and villas, as well as service and entertainment projects.
Madbouly asserted that the government aims to make New Alamein City one of the most attractive destinations on the Mediterranean Coast, and adestination for domestic and international tourism.
