13 June, 2011- Doha: Qatar Foundation's Human Resources directorate received in the last week of May the "2011 Best Change Management Strategy in GCC" award for its successful unification of HR policies and salary scales across the Foundation at the 6th Annual Human Assets Middle East Summit.
In their statement, the contest judges hailed the unification of HR policies and salary scales by QF as a "unique milestone" and represented an example of how HR should support organization growth and business strategy.
The award is considered highly competitive and receives applications from leading organization including Dubai Airports, Etihad Airways, Microsoft, Unilever, British Aerospace, Schlumberger, GSK, Xerox and others.
The 2011 Best Change Management Strategy in GCC, was awarded to QF Human Resources in recognition of the unification of HR policies and salary scales across QF, which was announced early last year.
The award was presented at the 6th Annual Human Assets Middle East Summit awarding ceremony held in Dubai.
The HR summit, which was held under the theme "Human Capital - Catalyst that makes your organization grow and succeed", brought in senior level HR professionals to tackle the latest challenges and fulfill the Middle East's constant need for fresh ideas through interactive keynote presentations and panel discussions.
Human Resources Executive Director, Hassan Al Hammadi said that the unification of HR policies and salary scale was one of the most strategic interventions introduced by QF Human Resources Directorate.
"This is one of the most significant and proud achievements for the Employee Relations and Welfare Team, that managed it from strategy development phase to implementation," Al Hammadi said.
Employee Relations & Welfare Director, Khalid Al Mawlawi said that "It was a great challenge to unify QF policies and salary scale as it implied a huge change that needed to be exceptionally well managed by the department. I believe that this is a recognition that we are developing the best HR practices and policies in line with Qatar Foundation's unlocking of human potential,"
"We feel appreciative of all QF management and staff, for the positive support that have been shown during the preparation and implementation of the HR policy unification project. This award will only encourage us to continue efforts to initiate more of best practice and world class milestones," he added.
