Amman, Jordan - LG Electronics (LG), the world's leading innovator of home appliances introduces its new bagless cyclone vacuum cleaner, Kompressor Plus. This intuitively designed vacuum cleaner uses advanced technologies including LG's improved dust compression system and a new cyclone system to help users maintain more hygienic homes.

"Introducing the new bagless vacuum cleaner falls in line with LG's incessant attempts to satisfy the needs of our customer base on an international level. The new vacuum machine offers the customers healthier and more hygienic surroundings. We, at LG, are always keen to be always ahead in offering-cutting edge home appliances that enhance the lives of our customers", said Mr. Kevin Cha, the Managing Director of LG Electronics Levant.

Industry-leading technologies included on the LG Kompressor Plus:

- Improved dust compression technology
The world's first dust compression technology has become even more efficient. It makes your home healthier by turning dust into solid cubes and reducing dirt and allergens in the air. In addition, dust cubes are quick, clean and easy to dispose of, with just a simple flick of the wrist. Thanks to LG's dust compression technology, users also don't have to empty their vacuum cleaners as frequently, as the dust solid cubes take up less space in the vacuum.

- New Turbo cyclone system
LG's new Turbo cyclone system has a unique double airflow structure to maintain stronger suction power and collect all types of dust in the same simple dust bin. This new Turbo cyclone system ensures optimum cleaning performance while gathering the dust in a single simplified dust bin.

- New filtration system
A 10-stage filtration system, which includes a Carbon-HEPA exhaust filter, can screen micro dust, along with odors and allergens that might escape back into the home. The ultra-fine HEPA filter collects micro dust particles while allowing clean air to pass through, ensuring consumer comfort and safety. Additionally, Kompressor Plus features a carbon filter with deodorization function that is most effective with homes with pets. The vacuum also has a metal filter that has an anti-bacterial effect, making it more hygienic. These filters act as shields that only allow clean air to reenter the home.

LG Kompressor Plus is also equipped with easy-to-use accessories. Its new on-board crevice tool, combined with the built-in 2-in-1 tool, puts all of the accessories within direct reach, saving both time and labor. These built-in tools as well as the optional TurboCombi nozzle are ideal for different cleaning conditions such as hard-to-reach corners, delicate surfaces and carpets and floors.

LG Kompressor Plus also has a softer, rounder design with a minimalist look sure to attract consumers who are not familiar with bagless cleaners. The vacuum cleaner is also compact and light, weighing just 6.5 kilograms. LG Kompressor Plus is intuitively designed to generate the best possible cleaning performance, and is available in number of custom colors.

According to the market research firm, Gfk, bagless vacuum cleaners make up 40 percent of all canister vacuum cleaners in Europe, with five million sold last year. LG plans to achieve double-digit market share in the European bagless vacuum cleaner market by continuing to create and offer innovative products such as the Kompressor Plus.

Recently, Kompressor Plus was awarded the Janus Industrial Award for 2008, one of the most prestigious design awards and supported by the worldwide designer community. Organized by the French Institute for Design with the sponsorship of the French Ministry for Economy, Finance and Industry since 1953, awards are given each year in different areas of activity - Health, Trade, Services and Industry - for products whose approach to design combines innovation and real added value for the user. LG Kompressor Plus was recognized by Janus for its exceptional design and technical performance, and the vacuum's hygienic aspects which allow users to make their home environment healthier was highly appreciated by the judges.
