Dubai November 4th, 2012 -  Burj Al Arab: Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world and the General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and people.

The African Regional Award on Peace and Human Development honours governments, civil society and faith leaders and organizations whose exemplary efforts have substantially improved the lives of others.

These awards underscore the importance of moral and innovative leadership, an ethic of public service, and a willingness to transcend boundaries of religion, ethnicity, culture and nationality in advancing the ideal of One Family under God.

The winners of the award demonstrate lives of integrity and a sustained commitment to realizing a world of peace even under challenging conditions that limit human potential and social development.

Carlo Pignataro, founder and master trainer of Dubai-based consulting and training firm Selling Skills Empowerment, has been invited to discuss leadership not only as a personal skill to be developed and used to contribute to the growth of a community, but also as a tool to empower people, thus leading to peaceful co-existence.

Carlo's talk will be directed at the minds and hearts of the leaders attending the conference and at raising awareness of the three principles of leadership: vision, communication, and energy.

The African regional award on peace & human development will bring together leaders from all sectors, from all over the world It is an opportunity to learn not only from the outstanding presenters and also from each other.
