DIFFERENT THEMES INTRODUCED TO PROSPECTIVE VISITORS
ATM-2006 ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN HIGHLIGHTS DUBAI'S APPEAL
The Government of Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), in its continued endeavour to enrich visitors' experience and make the Dubai tour memorable, has launched a comprehensive media and advertising campaign which includes outdoor, print, Radio commercials and a new set of informative brochures in an innovative size, style and an array of lively colours during the ongoing Arabian Travel Market (ATM-2006).
The campaign by the Media and Advertising section of the DTCM incorporates a plethora of passion and feelings that the city holds for different people from different countries. The launch of the new brochures coincides with ATM 2006, Middle East's premier travel and tourism fair.
Mr. Ahmed Al Tunaiji, DTCM Manager Media & Advertising, said: "The new brochures are innovative, attractive and user-friendly, providing visitors with glimpses into different aspects of life in Dubai like tours and safaris, water sports, festivals, conference, golfing, parks, spas, the Dubai Cruise Terminal, deserts, heritage and culture."
Ms. Lamya Rashed Kajoor, DTCM Executive Media and Advertising, said:"An extensive campaign featuring ad poles, banners, taxis, ad trucks and different forms of branding at the Dubai World Trade Centre have been launched to further enhance Dubai's image as an ideal all-year-round destination."
Ms. Hamda Mohammed Abdulla Naser, DTCM Executive Media and Advertising, said: "Radio spots have also been booked at several radio stations to promote Dubai and its different tourist attractions."
"Anticipating the year-on-year growth in international tourist arrivals to Dubai, some of the existing brochures have been revamped while new ones like those incorporating information about parks, festivals, events and deserts have been introduced for the first time," said DTCM Executive Media and Advertising, Ms. Moza Buti Bel Youha Al Maheeri.
The brochure titled "Tours and Safaris in Dubai" highlights tourist attractions like dune driving, sand skiing and wadis while 'Water sports in Dubai" lists sporting activities like jet-skiing, parasailing, wakeboarding, kite surfing, scuba diving and deep fishing that are bound to provide tourists with an unforgettable experience.
Other brochures are "Festivals and Events in Dubai" that feature DSS and DSF and "Conferences and Exhibitions in Dubai" listing Dubai's state-of-the-art facilities.
A brochure called "Bird-watching in Dubai" shows why Dubai is a haven for spectacular bird-watching while the brochure titled 'Golfing in Dubai' aims to promote international golf tournaments and world class golf course.
With Dubai increasingly becoming the centre of spa tourism, one of the brochures highlights the different soothing therapies and spas that are available in Dubai.
A description of the Dubai Cruise Terminal awaits visitors inside the pages of the brochures titled "Cruise Terminal in Dubai" while another titled 'Parks in Dubai' showcases the scenic parks and the tranquil beaches that Dubai boasts of.
Dubai's image as a shopping paradise is effectively manifested in the brochure titled "Shopping in Dubai" while one of Dubai's biggest conservation efforts and 5 star facility in the deserts are featured in another brochure titled "Deserts in Dubai".
