New Product Option Accelerates Time-To-Value While Minimizing Strain on Corporate IT Resources
20th October 2003 Computer Associates Middle East (CA-ME) is demonstrating a new option to CA’s CleverPath Portal solutions that accelerates the time-to-value of enterprise-packaged applications and reduces deployment complexity through a business-centric architecture.
Demonstrated on the CA-ME Gitex stand (Hall 6, L6-3), the new CleverPath Portal option is a pre-packaged library of integration portlets that support common business processes -- such as call center operations and customer self-service -- without the costly and complex customization typical of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) projects. This will further streamline business processes by allowing users to access multiple applications through a single sign-on.
“Our managers are spending significant time and effort performing simple tasks in our ERP environment such as processing payment requests and invoices and approving capital projects, events and vacation requests,” said Fred Mapp, chief information officer at AMD.
“By implementing CA's CleverPath solutions, we expect to streamline and radically simplify these tasks, increasing the efficiencies of our core business processes and eliminating a significant volume of IT support calls.”
The new CleverPath option enables customers to reap the benefits of packaged applications including SAP, Siebel and PeopleSoft. This new option builds on the CleverPath “Information in Action” blueprint, which provides decision-makers with an intelligent, integrated view of business and market conditions through sophisticated aggregation, analysis and personalization of real-time and historical information.
“Lot of regional customers have heavily invested in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems. The enhanced CleverPath Portal will help them leverage those investments with as much economy of resources as possible,” said Raoul Hunter, Manager of Information Management Solutions at CA-ME.
