ESI International's new Agile Project Management library offers seven top corporate training packages, designed to equip Mid East project managers with an A to Z roadmap

Leading project management training company ESI International has launched a consolidated portfolio of Agile training courses covering the full gamut of Agile's project management and development content.

The comprehensive online content library is available to ESI clients around the world. These courses cover the development of Agile project delivery using 'Scrum' software development method which covers; estimation and planning, overviews for executives and leaders, best practice for product owners, Project Management Institute-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) exam preparation and project portfolio management.

"Agile project management and software is designed for use with projects where change is a constant, and decision-making needs to be swift and effective," said Nancy Nee, ESI Vice President, Global Product Strategy

Using Scrum, (which is actually based on multiple small teams working in an intensive and interdependent manner), real-time decision-making processes, based on actual events and information, are used to fast track and optimise the planning, prioritisation and execution of projects, with progress reviews and completed project evaluation, an integral part of the process.

"While Agile development and project management have been around for over 10 years, implementation of the Agile approach using the Scrum method has gained increasing momentum, and is recognised as a highly effective and credible solution for managing challenging projects," said Nee.

"We believe that the Agile framework holds great promise for organisations that need to get products to market more quickly, reduce quality defects and increase customer satisfaction," she added.

According to Nee, the international Project Management Institute reports that its PMI-ACP (Project Management Institute - Agile Certified Practitioner) certification had the largest pilot participation of any of its certification offerings.

"Scrum, a popular methodology to implement the tenets of Agile, is widely used within the IT community, specifically within software development projects," said ESI Executive Vice President, J. LeRoy Ward. "However, Scrum techniques can also be utilised for non-IT projects, which makes it the most versatile of the Agile methods being used in the market today."

In addition to the course modules, ESI will continue to offer its proprietary assessments, which help clients gauge their organisational readiness for change, and determine which projects are the best candidates for an Agile approach. ESI will also continue to offer its coaching services to accelerate the introduction of Agile into clients' practices.
