In terms of imports, the Central Department of Statistics and Information's report pointed out that the machinery and equipment, electrical appliances and their parts ranked first with a total value amounted to SR 45034 million, representing 27,71% of the total value of imports. Transport equipment and parts ranked second with value of SR 29145 million by 17,93%. In the third place ranked the ordinary metals and their products worth SR 17483 million representing 10,76%.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) topped the countries exported to while China topped the countries imported from, as the UAE ranked first in terms of the value of merchandise exports of non-oil representing a rate of 13,19% of the total value of exports, and in the second place China by 10,91%, followed by India by 6,1%.
In terms of imports, China ranked first by 15,18% of total imports, followed by the United States of America by 13,3% and then by Germany by 6,78%.
