Official data showed that Kuwait’s external debt at the end of the first quarter of 2021 reached KD19.5 billion; compared to KD17.99 billion for the same period last year — an increase of KD1.5 billion, reports Annahar daily.

 

Statistics from the Central Bank of Kuwait indicated that the official reserve assets of the country dropped to KD14.027 billion at the end of September, compared to KD14.650 billion in 2020 — a decrease of nearly half a billion Kuwaiti dinars.

 

It indicated that the total expenditures of citizens and expatriates at the end of the first nine months of 2021 amounted to KD24.65 billion; while the third quarter recorded the highest value of spending at KD9.01 billion, and the total expenditures in the first quarter amounted to KD7.44 billion.
