KUWAIT, April 25 (KUNA) -- Exchange rate of the US dollar went down to reach KD 0.284, while the euro was up to KD 0.371 compared to Wednesday's figures, said the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) on Thursday.

The exchange rate of the sterling was up to KD 0.436, the Japanese yen remained unchanged at KD 0.003, and the Swiss franc decreased to reach KD 0.

The major currencies witnessed several flunctuation, where the US Dollar Index (USDX) suffered from its negative data, and comes at the top of the non-perishable goods index, which contributed in the drop of dollar.

Meanwhile sterling slightly rose today, benefiting from the decline in dollar, regarding that the UK Department of Trade and Industry will announce Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the first quarter of this year.
