ABU DHABI, Feb. 24th, 2009: The Critical National Infrastructure Authority (CNIA) has signed two agreements with Advanced Integrated Systems PLC with a total value of AED 767 million.
According to the first agreement, Advanced Integrated Systems willprovide specialized experts to train and qualify CNIA's special weaponsand tactics (SWAT) teams using the latest techniques and methods forthe protection and security of facilities as well as the internationalaccredited standards. The two agreements were signed at the International Defense Exhibition - IDEX 2009- in Abu Dhabi. Director General of CNIA Brigadier Engineer Muhair Ali Al Khateri saidthe agreement with Advanced Integrated Systems would achieve our goalsof training the UAE national human resources and provide them with thenecessary skills to carry out their duties of protecting the securityand safety of critical facilities."According to the second agreement, Advanced Integrated Systems willprovide CNIA with controllers and operators of control and telecomsystems", added Al Khateri. The agreement provides for recruiting, training, qualifying CNIA'snational human resources as controllers and operators of control andtelecom systems at CNIA's command & control centers and rooms. The duration of the contract is 5 years during which AdvancedIntegrated Systems will commit itself to the articles of the contract to ensure the training and qualification of UAE human resources therefore contributing to the protection of the nation's prosperity andto the development of national human resources. CEO of Advanced Integrated Systems Plc Khlafan Al Shamsi expressed gladness at the signing of the two agreements with CNIA. He said "We are proud to be in cooperation with CNIA as well as to expand our technological coverage for the security of the UAE.
