AlGIERS (TAP) - "The Algerian people, who follow with interest, the Tunisian Revolution, are determined to strengthen the relations between the two countries," deputy speaker of Algeria's Council of the Nation Leila Kheiri Tayeb asserted on Wednesday.
During her talk with National Constituent Assembly (NCA) Speaker Mustapha Ben Jaafar, she stressed the firm political will driving the two countries' leaders to energise theedification process of the Great Arab Maghreb.
In this connection, she underlined the imperative to get ready for the next Maghrebi summit scheduled in Tunisia to end up with "practical solutions" likely to help support theefforts of the edification of this regional group, notably in light of the delicate situation the region is going through."
We came to Algeria with the hope to strengthen the bilateral relations "Mustapha Ben Jaafar said in turn, calling in this connection, for the transformation of the Tunisian-Algerian high joint committee into a higher partnership council, he specified, which will be tasked with establishing a strategy of long-term complementarity."
"We also count on Algeria's solidarity to support Tunisia in its efforts aimed to re-establish security and stability and improve the social conditions in the country," he said.
Besides, he reasserted Tunisia's attachment to the establishment of a civil state, the respect of liberties, the separations of powers and independence of justice.
Ben Jaafar also voiced hope to see the Tunis Maghrebi summit set a real start of the Arab Maghreb edification process.
Mustapha Ben Jaafar started, on Tuesday, a three-day official visit in Algeria leading a delegation of the NCA.
