National Bank of Oman (NBO) recently opened its second dedicated Islamic banking branch, Muzn Islamic Banking, in the Mabela. The idea behind this new branch is to bring Islamic banking products and expertise closer to residents of Mabela.

The Muzn Mabela branch will service not only Islamic banking customers in Mabela but also in the surrounding areas of Seeb, Mawaleh and Al Khoud, with a special focus on retail and SME banking. Ahmed al Musalmi, deputy CEO, National Bank of Oman said, "Our aim at National Bank of Oman is to make banking easier and more convenient for our customers.

With the introduction of our Muzn Mabela branch, customers in Mabela and the surrounding areas will now have access to convenient banking products and facilities in line with their faith. Our customers will also have peace of mind that Muzn is backed by the strong and supportive infrastructure of the National Bank of Oman brand." NBO opened its Muzn Islamic Banking branch at A'Sahwa Towers, Azaiba in January 2013 and has plans to open more branches in Sur, Sohar, Salalah and Nizwa to adequately service customers.
