DUBAI, 25th November, 2013 (WAM) -- Jaheziya ? a Tawazun subsidiary will provide training to Abu Dhabi Airports? employees, agents, and related staff in the fields of aviation firefighting, safety, security, emergency preparedness and crisis and disaster management.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two sides today in this regard by Jamal Al Shamsi, Strategic Advisor of Tawazun and Dr. Othman Al Khoori, Chief Human Resources Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports. Al Shamsi welcomed the cooperation with Abu Dhabi Airports, which will initially see firefighters and, possibly, other emergency respondents from 5 Abu Dhabi Airports-managed airports, undergoing basic and advanced aviation firefighting training courses at Jaheziya?s state-of-the-art training facilities. He said the aviation firefighting?s other training courses, such as Basic Fire Fighting, Emergency Response training, Incident and Crisis Management, Multi-Agency training and exercises, as well as Safety Awareness courses, will vary in duration between one-day to three-month courses. "In providing training to Abu Dhabi Airports? staff, Jaheziya will utilize a highly advanced Mobile Aviation Training Unit for realistic and hands-on scenario training. We will also offer customized safety, security and disaster management training programs to ensure maximum outcomes for Abu Dhabi Airports and its staff," added Al Shamsi. Dr. Othman Al Khoori, Chief Human Resources Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, said: "Abu Dhabi Airports is today an established aviation hub, with thousands of people using Abu Dhabi International Airport every day. The opening of the Midfield Terminal in 2017 will further enhance the status of Abu Dhabi as a global hub. This ever increasing number of passengers means that it is vital for Abu Dhabi Airports to ensure that safety, security & crisis management contingency measures are given the highest priority, while at the same time maintaining the highest possible customer service levels.
