TEHRAN - Experts at Khorasan Petrochemical Complex have managed to produce the rotor of the air turbo compressor widely used in the industries.

High speed (52,000 revolutions per minutes) and state-of-the-art-technology are among the specific peculiarities of the rotor used in the air turbo compressor C6601B built by engineers of Khorasan Petrochemical Complex , the Persian service of Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) said on Monday.

Moreover, precise analysis of the material used in the part and balancing the rotor blades on their axis were among the most difficult stages of the work, an official with the petrochemical complex said.

The produced part is installed on the related equipment now and is working satisfactorily, he added.

In producing the part, Iranian experts did not have access to the schematic diagrams required for the job, therefore, they had to employ the pattern-based reverse engineering for the aim and make use of the facilities offered by Iran's Civil Aviation Organization.
