Damascus - Participants in the fifth Damascus Insurance Forum called Wednesday for increasing insurance installments in Arab countries to meet the volume of Arab economies.
Concluding two- day forum, researchers called upon Arab Insurance companies to increase attention to life insurance representing 60% of insurance installments volume.
They stressed media's role in upgrading Arab Insurance Market and increasing insurance awareness in this new industry.
They criticized profitability principle of Arab Insurance Companies away from media which helps spread insurance culture.
Director-General of Syrian Insurance Companies Union, Samer al-Esh said that the newly established insurance markets in the Arab countries are gradually growing in order to reach stability.
He added that Syrian Insurance sector doubled three times since 2006 to reach SP 14, 3 billions.
The participants also stressed the importance of companies' governance in addition to commitment to qualification and training of staff.
