Some 278,000 tons of aluminum bars were produced in the 10 months of the current Iranian year (to end March 19), indicating an 11.3-percent growth compared to the figure for the same period last year.
Based on a report released by Industrial Development and Renovation Organization, the biggest increase in the production of mineral products during the period pertained to aluminum and steel, IRNA wrote on Sunday.
It added the production pertained to Iranian Aluminum Company (Iralco), Almahdi Aluminum Company and Hormozal Aluminium Company adding, the figure for the corresponding period of the preceding year was 249,000 tons.
Of the said figure, about 147,000 tons, 92,000 tons and 38,000 tons pertain to Iralco, Ahmahdi and Hormuzal respectively.
