ROME--Libya is working on a new hydrocarbon law with better contractual terms and that will cover unconventional sources, said a top official of the national oil company, as part of the process to entice investors into the north African county following a civil war.
"Our hydrocarbon law is being reviewed by experts to offer a new law...that will be more attractive from a contractual point of view," said Mustafa Sanalla, board member for production and planning of NOC, at a conference in Rome.
"The new law will also cover unconventional resources [as previous one didn't]," added Mr. Sanalla.
