BEIRUT, March 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) to sign a USD 46 million loan for sewage projects in some parts of Lebanon.

KFAED representative in Lebanon Nawaf al-Dabous told KUNA, on Wednesday, that the total cost of the project will come to USD 68 million, with 65 percent contribution from KFAED. The lebense government, meantime, will throw in 35 percent in the four-year project.

These developmental projects have positive manifestations on national economy, al-Dabous noted. He stressed that the two countries' leaderships are always keen to promoting bilateral ties.

The signing of the loan will be in the presence of the Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Director of KFAED Abdulwahab al-Bader and KFAED Regional Director Marwan al-Ghanim.

Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic and Development offered 17 loans to Lebanon since 1996, with a total cost of USD 500 million. These loans included projects in health, agriculture, transportation, and reconstruction.
